Parents taking charge
We are a small group of dedicated parents who have been involved in youth sports in Minnesota for generations. From hockey, lacrosse, soccer, basketball and football to dance, gymnastics and more, we shuttled our kids to practices and games.
As we split our time across the fields, diamonds and rinks, we relished the parents who took time to stream the games. We could feel like part of the action while we listened to our fellow moms and dads bring amazing color commentary and fast-paced action. Mostly, we got to see our children grow and learn life skills. We wanted to support that.
With youth sports, though, came the costs. Year after year, the fees, equipment, team costs and time increased. Then large, investor-led private equity firms asked us to pay to watch our own children play the sport we had funded.
That is when we decided that parents should take charge: parents streaming the moments their kids worked so hard for to grandparents and friends, and saving them for later. As a streaming dad, our founder took all the things he wanted to have and put them in an app. It's free, and it's available to non-profit youth sports organizations to help fund their operations through local sponsors.
Youth sports holds a rarefied niche in our communities. Local businesses have long supported a jersey or a dasher board at a rink, but they haven't been able to see how much their investment in their community came back in returns. That is, until now.
For youth sports organizations, team, organization and regional sponsorships are a major boost in keeping their operations open. For businesses, they're a chance to show their dedication to their local communities while getting a return on that investment. With GoodGame for streaming, paired with GoodGame Supporter, youth organizations can provide real return-on-investment data that supports deeper relationships.
It also lets teams keep the long-term sponsor relationships that sometimes wither on the vine as kids age out and the parent who made the connection moves on.
We see the value youth sports brings to our kids, families and communities, and we're happy to help sponsors meet and engage meaningfully with the communities they support.
